This late 18th century drawing is an afternoon delight I discovered via a very old blog post at Salon.com, which in turn was discovered at Wurzeltod. This work by Jean Jaques-Lequeu is definitely heading in the right direction, but where’s the follow through?

This French artist had a series of drawings, Lewd Figures, which he labored over whilst living in a whorehouse. Nice going, Jean! I hadn’t considered naked nuns of antiquity when starting this site, but I feel inspired now to add some historical perspective to the proceedings. The 21st century kids didn’t invent sex, you know. They didn’t even invent porn.
